Arjen Robben extends Bayern Munich contract
Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has extended his contract with the Allianz Arena outfit and his new deal will expire in the summer of 2018.
Speaking in an interview with the club’s website, he said: "I am happy that I will be playing another year at FC Bayern. The club is one of the best in the world and Munich has become a second home for me and my family. I want to continue to play at the top level and win as many titles as possible."
Bayern Munich eye Marco Verratti to replace Xabi Alonso
According to reports in Spanish daily AS, Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti wants the club to sign PSG superstar Marco Verratti to replace veteran midfielder Xabi Alonso. The World Cup winning Spaniard is in the twilight of his career and has less than 6 months left on his contract with the Bundesliga giants. Ancelotti had previously worked with Verratti at Parc des Princes and have a good understanding since then.
