Dimitri Payet rejects £500,000-a-week offers from China
According to Sky Sports, West Ham United outcast Dimitri Payet has rejected offers of up to £500,000-a-week from Chinese Super League outfits as he only wants to return to France with Olympique Marseille. The report adds that Chinese Super League outfit Hebei China Fortune and two other clubs were interested in his services and had got in touch with his agent over a £26m per year transfer to China.
However, the Frenchman is not interested in a move away from Europe and in fact is willing to take a pay cut of up to 30 percent to secure a move back to Stade Velodrome. Marseille have had their two bids rejected for Payet by West Ham.
Lyon agree £21.7m deal for Memphis Depay
French outfit Olympique Lyon have agreed a deal which could rise to £21.7m with Manchester United for the transfer of flop Memphis Depay. The Dutchman arrived at Old Trafford from PSV in the summer of 2015 but has struggled to establish himself under new manager Jose Mourinho and had been linked with a move away from Manchester. This will be United’s second departure of the ongoing transfer window with the first one being the transfer of Morgan Schneiderlin to Everton.
