Zinedine Zidane tries to convince Cristiano Ronaldo to stay
Marca has claimed that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has personally called Cristiano Ronaldo in order to change the Portuguese’s mind about leaving the club. The player's future is up in the air at the moment with Ronaldo hurt by the media accusations against him. Ronaldo respects Zidane a lot and the club hopes that the manager can convince him to stay. Along with the boss, club captain Sergio Ramos has also called Ronaldo in a bid to appease him.
Marcos Asensio to consider his future
A big summer is expected at the Santiago Bernabeu with the likes of Kylian Mbappe closing in on a move to Spain. With his place under threat, emerging star Marcos Asensio has warned the club that he will reconsider his future with Madrid if they sign players who could reduce his game time.
Asensio wants to play in the 2018 World Cup and for that he needs regular playing time under his belt. Liverpool remain interested in his situation.
