Welcome to our daily transfer rumours round-up. Today’s gossip world sees German International defender linked with a move to Arsenal while a certain Liverpool star is set to call it time on his 9-year stay at Anfield.
Elsewhere there is a new twist to Paul Pogba’s transfer saga with French icon and Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane officially jumping in the race to sign the coveted midfielder under Manchester United’s noses.
On that note, here are the transfer news and rumours doing the rounds on July 27th.
Serie A
– Gonzalo Higuain has now completed his €90m move to Juventus. The Argentine striker completed his medical a short while back and has been given the number 9 jersey by the Serie A Champions.
– Ajax striker Arkadiusz Milik's agent has admitted that he had a meeting with Napoli but says 'nothing is certain yet'. Gazzetta dello Sport claimed last night that a €35million deal has been agreed for the Polish striker, however, Milik’s agent has put to an end to those ‘Done Deal’ claims for now.
– Monaco defender Wallace is undergoing his medical in light of an impending move to Lazio, according to reports from Corriere dello Sport. He is expected to sign an official contract later tonight.
Premier League
– Arsenal have contacted Valencia about the availability of German International defender Shkodran Mustafi. According to Fichajes, the Spanish club will allow the central defender to leave but only for around €30m.
– Chelsea are set to go to war with Everton yet again, this time for William Carvalho. According to Express, the Portuguese star is keen to make a move this summer with both Everton and Chelsea interested in his transfer. He is valued around €25-30m by his current club, Sporting Lisbon.
– Manchester City have made an official £40m bid for John Stones and are keen to make a late move for Leonardo Bonucci reports Manchester Evening News. According to the latest updates, Stones has asked Everton to let him go with City being his preferred choice.
Bundesliga
– Hamburg are eyeing up Juventus defender and Real Betis target Mario Lemina, according to French journal L’Equipe. Reports claim that the Old Lady are ready to listen to offers for the 20-year-old, but that they will demand beyond €25 million.
– Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti has distanced himself from making an official move for Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez. In an interview with Bild, Ancelotti said: "I have a lot of love for Chicharito. But as I've said, the team is good as we are – we are covered in every position.”
– According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Mario Gomez has requested Florentina that he should have the final say over his transfer this summer. West Ham and Borussia Dortmund are interested in the services of the German striker and a transfer is expected to be completed later this week.
La Liga
– Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that Real Madrid are indeed interested in signing Paul Pogba as he is one of the best players in the game right now. Speaking to the press, Zidane said: “I do not know if he’ll come. Pogba is a great player and when you’re with Madrid you always want the best.”
– Spanish side Villarreal have signed former Chelsea loanee Alexandre Pato from Corinthians.The news was confirmed by Villarreal’s official twitter account earlier today which brings an end to Pato’s dismal stay at Stamford Bridge, where he scored only once.
– Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has confirmed that he is staying at Camp Nou despite recent suggestions of his exit following Andre Gomes’ signing. Rakitic took to twitter and said: “Getting ready for the new season and really up for it. By the way, my only agent is Arturo Canales”.
Rest of Europe
– Turkish giants Galatasaray and Besitkas have joined the race to sign Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost, according to player’s management company Stars & Friend. They also confirmed that Southampton are looking to sign him as a replacement for Graziano Pelle.
– Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers are close to completing a €25 million deal for Benfica winger Anderson Talisca, according to Portuguese media outlet Abola.
– Galatasaray have lined up a €2.5m deal for Liverpool ace Lucas Leiva that would end his 9-year spell at the club. According to Turkish outlet AMK, Galatasaray manager Jan Olde Riekerink is pushing his club to complete Brazilian’s signing before the start of next season.
