Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed that Chelsea are interested in a season long loan deal for 19-year-old Renato Sanches. The Portuguese international failed to impress last season and made only 19 appearances under Carlo Ancelotti. Evening Standard reports that the Bavarians do not want to sell Sanches and are only willing to send him out on loan. Rummenigge said of Chelsea's interest, "Conte asked for some information about him after Tuesday’s match because he knows he can make the difference on the pitch."
Borussia Dortmund star joins Newcastle United
The Dortmund midfielder Mikel Merino has joined the Premier League new boys on a season long loan. Merino joined Dortmund last season and made eight appearances after arriving from Osasuna. Merino said after joining the Magpies, "It feels good and I'm very happy to be here, to be part of this club. I'm looking forward to touching the ball, meeting my new team-mates and starting to play football."
