But the player's agent, Jonathan Barnett has today revealed to the Spanish media that Gareth Bale is not looking for an exit from Spain and wants to retire with Real Madrid.
The Welshman has been wrecked with injuries in the past 12 months and also with the emergence of Isco, Bale has not been able to reassert his place in the side under Zinedine Zidane. Bale, who has won three Champions League titles for Real Madrid, last started a game in September.
Arsenal to appoint former FC Barcelona's director of football

Sanllehi left his position at FC Barcelona on Friday after completing 15 years with the Catalan club.
