Thomas Meunier considers Kylian Mbappe to be a good alternative to Edinson Cavani
Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on the €180m signing of Kylian Mbappe from AS Monaco - the second biggest transfer in the history of football - but according to defender Thomas Meunier, the French wonderkid is a bizarrely a good 'alternative' to first choice striker Edinson Cavani.
Speaking in an interview, the wing-back said: "That can be perfect. We welcome that kind of player and we need it also. At No 9 we have only Cavani that's why I think Mbappe can be a really good alternative. He can play on right, left, in the middle. We need him and we have a great team this year."
AS Monaco sign Stevan Jovetic
AS Monaco have announced the signing of former Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic on a four-year deal. The Montenegro international spent the second half of last season on loan with Sevilla from Inter Milan.
