Arsenal submit second bid for Alexandre Lacazette
Arsenal had their opening bid for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette rejected by the club but according to Sky Sports, the Gunners are willing to offer £45m plus add-ons for the services of the 26-year-old. It remains to be seen whether the Ligue 1 giants will accept this bid or if it will be rejected again.
Alexis Sanchez hints at decision on future
Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez has put his future with the North London club in doubt after admitting that he has decided where he will play next season. Speaking at a press conference during the FIFA Confederation Cup, Sanchez was asked if he will be playing alongside Claudio Bravo next season and the 28-year-old responded in a cheeky manner.
Q. "Will you be a teammate of Claudio Bravo at Manchester City next season?
A: "[laughs]. Good question! Right now I'm focused on the Confederations Cup. When this is finished I will see if I stay or if I go. I don't know."
Q: "Is it clear in your mind, or have you not decided?"
A: "Yes it's clear but I can't tell you [laughing]".
Robin van Persie set for shock Premier League return
Former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has been linked with a shock return to the Premier League, if reports in Daily Mirror are to be believed. The 33-year-old is currently plying his trade in Turkey with Fenerbahce but is reportedly set to return to England with Crystal Palace, who have appointed Frank de Boer as their new manager, who is keen on bringing the Dutchman back to the Premier League.
