Barcelona twice rejected the chance to sign Paulo Dybala
La Sexta, a Spanish daily has claimed that FC Barcelona had the chance to sign Juventus and Argentina forward Paulo Dybala not once but twice in the recently concluded transfer window. It is reported that Juventus were open to selling the player in the region of €120 million plus add-ons. Barcelona officials had even reportedly met the player's agent in Turin but the talks did not prove fruitful as the Catalans decided to focus their attentions on Philippe Coutinho.
Diego Simeone extends his Atletico Madrid contract
The Colchoneros have today revealed in an official statement that Diego Simeone has signed an extension with the club which will see him sit in the Atletico hotseat till 2020. Simeone joined Atleti in 2011 and has so far won five trophies with the Madrid side including the La Liga crown in 2014. The official statement read, "The renewal of Diego Pablo Simeone is now a reality. Our coach has signed a new contract that ties him to Atletico Madrid for two more seasons, until June 30, 2020."

Juventus keen on signing three midfielders next summer
Tuttosport has claimed that Juventus are in talks with as many as three midfielders. Surprisingly, all three midfielders are set to become free agents come the end of the current season. This trio of Juventus targets includes Emre Can of Liverpool, Andres Iniesta of FC Barcelona and Leon Goretzka of Schalke 04.
AC Milan keen on Rafinha
The Rossoneri are monitoring Barcelona's utility man, Rafinha's future. Barcelona boss, Ernesto Valverde might deem Rafinha surplus to requirements and hence AC Milan are looking to stay in the hunt for the midfielder. Rafinha made his Barcelona debut in 2011 and has so far racked up 81 appearances. Meanwhile, if the Catalans sell him in January they are expected to insert a buy back clause in the Brazilian's contract, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Leon Goretzka on Italian clubs' radars
After impressive performances for Schalke and then for the German senior side, Leon Goretzka is a player in high demand. With just a year left on his contract, clubs are lining up to sign a pre-contract agreement with the midfielder in January. Calciomercato understands that Inter Milan and Juventus are interested in the 21-year-old and will fight it out for his signature. Along with the Italian clubs, Arsenal are also said to be in contention to sign the German enforcer.
Stuttgart starlet joins FC Senica on loan
Hans Nunoo Sarpei, the 19-year-old Stuttgart teenager has joined Slovakian first division side, FC Senica on a season long loan. The Ghanaian joined Stuttgart last August and made his senior debut in a DFB Pokal clash last October. Michael Reschke, sporting director at VfB Stuttgart said of the move, "Hans is a talented, young player, with a great deal of potential for development. We will be keeping a very close eye on how he gets on in Slovakia."

Manchester United to revive interest in Gareth Bale
Jose Mourinho and Manchester United will reportedly knock on Real Madrid's door next summer as they attempt to sign long-term target, Gareth Bale. The Sun has reported that the United boardroom feel that the summer of 2018 might be the perfect time for Bale to end his stint in Spain. His place in the Madrid side is already under threat after the emergence of Marco Asensio and Isco and thus, the Welshman might look for a move next summer. Real Madrid will look to sell the ex-Tottenham man for a fee in the region of £80 million next year.
The real reason behind Ross Barkley's failed move to Chelsea
According to Talksport and the Times, Ross Barkley turned down a move to Chelsea at the last minute because he could not talk to Antonio Conte. Barkley wanted to have a word with the Chelsea boss but the Italian was under instructions from the club not to indulge in any form of communication with the 24-year-old. Instead, Chelsea's sporting director Michael Emenalo and club CEO Marina Granovskaia were tasked with handling the talks and they ultimately failed to convince Barkley to sign on the dotted line.

PSG set to meet Gianluigi Donnarumma's release clause
Gazzetta Dello Sport has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are looking for a goalkeeper and will activate the release clause of AC Milan's number one custodian, Gianluigi Donnarumma, next summer. The teenager can leave the Milan club for €70 million with AC Milan looking at Napoli's Pepe Reina as a short-term replacement.
Juventus and Arsenal monitoring North Korean striker
Juventus and Arsenal are reportedly interested in the 19-year-old Perugia striker, Han-Kwang Song. Tuttosport has revealed that Arsenal have already sent scouts to watch the North Korean in action and provide a detailed report to Arsene Wenger. Song is on loan at Perugia from Cagliari and has already scored four goals in two matches this season.
