Manchester United to revive interest in Gareth Bale
Jose Mourinho and Manchester United will reportedly knock on Real Madrid's door next summer as they attempt to sign long-term target, Gareth Bale. The Sun has reported that the United boardroom feel that the summer of 2018 might be the perfect time for Bale to end his stint in Spain. His place in the Madrid side is already under threat after the emergence of Marco Asensio and Isco and thus, the Welshman might look for a move next summer. Real Madrid will look to sell the ex-Tottenham man for a fee in the region of £80 million next year.
The real reason behind Ross Barkley's failed move to Chelsea
According to Talksport and the Times, Ross Barkley turned down a move to Chelsea at the last minute because he could not talk to Antonio Conte. Barkley wanted to have a word with the Chelsea boss but the Italian was under instructions from the club not to indulge in any form of communication with the 24-year-old. Instead, Chelsea's sporting director Michael Emenalo and club CEO Marina Granovskaia were tasked with handling the talks and they ultimately failed to convince Barkley to sign on the dotted line.
