Liverpool ready James Rodriguez bid
Don Balon reports that Liverpool are ready to meet James Rodriguez’s £52 million asking price set by Real Madrid. The midfielder has reportedly become frustrated with a lack of first-team appearances under Zinedine Zidane and is keen on a move away from the Bernabeu.
Liverpool are now keen to nip in and steal a march on their rivals in the race for his signature and are ready to meet Real Madrid’s demands. However, this is still in the pipeline and no concrete bid has been made yet.
Barcelona in for Douglas Costa
New Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde is mulling a bid for Bayern Munich’s Douglas Costa. Sport report that Valverde is in the market for quick and incisive wingers and Douglas Costa fits the bill perfectly. Bayern Munich have placed the winger on the transfer market and he could be available for a fee of €25 million (£21.8 million).
Laporte favours Real Madrid move
Athletic Bilbao centre-back Aymeric Laporte has favoured a move to European champions Real Madrid as per reports from Don Balon. Manchester City were also interested in signing the Bilbao defender but he has his heart set on Real Madrid after watching them lift the Champions League trophy.
