Naby Keita won't join Liverpool in January
It was rumoured that if RB Leipzig crashed out of the Champions League from the group stages, Liverpool would be eligible to sign the Guinean midfielder in January itself. But the club's sporting director, Ralf Rangnick has rejected any such claims. Rangnick told Leipziger Volkszeitung, "Even if we should not reach the knockout stages of Champions League, it would make no sense to allow Naby to join Liverpool earlier. We want to qualify for Europe again and we need Naby for that.”
Leon Goretzka agrees to personal terms with FC Barcelona
Mundo Deportivo reports that FC Barcelona have agreed upon personal terms with Leon Goretzka ahead of a potential January move. The Catalans feel that £47 million will be enough for Schalke 04 to let him leave in the winter market. The midfielder's representatives have already conducted a couple of meetings with Barcelona officials and are keen on completing the transfer as soon as possible.
