Frenchman Dravid Trezeguet is the newest name to be involved in the Middle Eastern football revolution as he completed a move to Etisalat Pro League runners up Baniyas SC, a football club based in Abu Dhabi.
The 1998 World Cup winner arrived in Abu Dhabi on Sunday with his agent Antonio Caliendo and completed a medical with Bani Yas on Monday. According to leading newspapers, Trezeguet will be unveiled as a Baniyas player on a one-year deal reportedly worth 1.7 million pounds.
The 6 feet 3 inch target man spent the last season with La Liga side Hercules SF who grabbed eye balls early on in the season with the defeat of Barcelona. However, the stint ended on a sore note as the team got relegated to the 2nd division in Spain and Trezeguet was thus left looking for a move away from Hercules CF .
33 year old Trezeguet has had an illustrious career, playing for Monaco and Italian powerhouse Juventus but is probably best known for scoring the goal that won France the EURO in 2000.
