Tottenham Hotspur contact Benjamin Pavard
Teamtalk understands that Tottenham Hotspur has initiated talks with Stuttgart regarding the future of Benjamin Pavard. The Frenchman's stunning performances in the World Cup have caught Mauricio Pochettino's eye who is now looking to rope the 22-year-old in as a direct replacement for Toby Alderweireld.
Alderweireld is expected to leave this summer. Pavard is predominantly a centre-back but can also play on the flanks or in midfield. Spurs are ready to make a £44 million approach for the World Cup-winning defender.
Robert Lewandowski wants assurances from Bayern Munich
After trying his best to engineer a move away from the club, Robert Lewandowski has done a U-turn and has decided to stay put at Bayern Munich. Sport Bild reports that the rest of the first team squad has been left bewildered by Lewandowski's antics.
It is because of this that the striker has demanded assurances from the club that he is still welcomed at the club. Lewandowski is still expected to join his teammates for the preseason tour to the USA.
