Welcome to our daily transfer rumours round-up. One of the major news of the day sees Paul Pogba saying YES to a move to Manchester United with Juventus waiting for a €120m offer to sanction his sale.
Elsewhere, Liverpool have completed the signing of experienced defender Ragnar Klavan, who will be given the number 17 jersey for next season.
On that note, here are the transfer rumours doing the rounds on July 20th.
Serie A
- AS Roma are waiting for Real Madrid’s response after agreeing personal terms with the central defender Nacho Fernandez. According to Di Marzio, Roma have offered a loan move with an option to buy him for €10m, while Real Madrid holding out for a €16m fee.
- David Santon will fly out to join Inter Milan in the USA, after his move to Napoli collapsed last night. According to Football Italia, Santon failed in his medical for Napoli but Inter are willing to sign him in coming few days.
- Inter Milan are continuing to press for Lazio’s Antonio Candreva. Both clubs are still €4m apart from the valuation which is expected to be met later this week after Chelsea have cooled down on their interest of signing Candreva.
Bundesliga
- Borussia Dortmund winger Jakub Blaszczykowski's future will be decided in coming weeks, according to his agent. The 30-year-old spent last season on loan away from Dortmund and is considering his options ahead of 2016/17 season. Liverpool have been one of the many teams linked with a move for him this summer.
- Schalke have given up on trying to keep Leroy Sane this summer after the 19-year old handed a transfer request earlier this week. Bundesliga side have earmarked Liverpool’s Lazar Markovic as a potential replacement.
- Carlo Ancelotti has ended any hopes of Robert Lewandowski quitting Bayern Munich this or any other summer. Real Madrid have expressed an interest in the Polish striker but Ancelotti wants him to continue with Bayern for many seasons to follow.
Premier League
- Mauro Icardi could be an Arsenal player before the end of July after his agent and wife arrived in London to hold talks with the Premier League club. An expected figure of £42million will get the deal done with Inter Milan already seeking a replacement for their skipper.
- Paul Pogba has asked to quit Juventus for the first time this summer after a £85million bid was turned down by the Serie A Champions. According to Sky Italia, Pogba has decided to join Man United and wants Juventus to honor his wish.
- Neven Subotic's £8m move to Middlesbrough is off after a reported failed medical last night. Sky Sports believes that the Serbian International is keen to join a Premier League side this summer with his agent set to discuss potential moves in coming days.
- Alvaro Negredo has joined Middlesbrough on a season-long loan from Valencia.
La Liga
- Zinedine Zidane has ended any speculation of him going after a major signing this summer. Former world player of the year is happy with the squad he has got and think they can challenge for the league title next season.
- Sevilla have decided to not enter the bidding war for Atletico’s Luciano Vietto. According to Marca, Sevilla will only entertain the idea of taking him on loan for next season while Barcelona are exploring the idea of buying him on a permanent basis.
- Barcelona have been told to pay £45million if they are interested in signing Riyad Mahrez this summer. Leicester City star is expected to stay with the club next season unless Barcelona decided to fork out big bucks on the Algerian winger.
Rest of Europe
- Adam Bogdan has signed for Wigan Athletic on a season-long loan move from Liverpool. The keeper arrived at Anfield only last season but has been sent away to gain vital first team experience.
- Aston Villa have submitted a formal offer to Bristol City for striker Jonathan Kodjia. Kodjia joined Bristol City from Angers last summer.
- Marseille are still negotiating with Tottenham to take Clinton Njie on loan with an option to buy, however, Spurs are looking to sell the striker who had a very troubling debut season at White Hart Lane.
