Welcome to our daily transfer rumours round-up. With already £300million spent by the Premier League first week of the summer transfer window has been nothing short of fascinating. Paul Pogba is still the centre of all media attention with BBC reporting that contrary to the £120million bid and personal agreement reached with Manchester United, this transfer is yet to get out of the blocks.

On that note, we take a look at all the best transfer news and rumours surrounding European Football on July 9.


Serie A

Benatia to Juventus?

- Juventus will announce Mehdi Benatia’s signing from Bayern Munich in coming days. According to Gazzetta, Benatia will join the Serie A Champions in an €18m transfer and will sign a four-year contract worth €3m per season.

- Jackson Martinez could be heading back to Europe just five months after joining Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande in a €42m transfer. Player’s agent Henrique Pompeo spoke with Calciomercato and said: “For the moment we have not received any formal offer, but I am in Europe to work towards a return here”.

- Napoli are closing on a deal to sign Juventus man Roberto Pereyra, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. The deal is expected to be in the region of €18m and Juventus are ready to accept the offer following Miralem Pjanic’s arrival in Turin.

Bundesliga

Gotze to Tottenham?

- Mario Gotze has decided to quit Bayern Munich this summer with Tottenham one of the surprise teams to have made an official contact. According to Bild, there are strong chances of the player joining Spurs ahead of Liverpool (due to lack of Champions League) and Arsenal (due to lack of winning mentality).

- Neven Subotic could seal his move to Premier League in next 48 hours after leaving Dortmund’s training ground and take an early flight to England. Despite the interest from Liverpool and Arsenal, Middlesbrough and Everton are the surprise front-runners for his signature, according to Bild.

- Leroy Sane of Schalke is close to sealing a move to Manchester City after Germany’s Euro 2016 exit, according to Bild. The official bid could be in the region of £40-50million.

Premier League

Arda Turan to Arsenal?

- Chelsea are ready to reject a £17millon offer from Juventus for Nemanja Matic and will ask for £25m for any deal to go through. Juventus see Matic as the potential replacement for Paul Pogba, who seems to be Manchester United bound.

- According to BBC, Paul Pogba’s move to Old Trafford is in very early stage as clubs are yet to open negotiations at their end. All of the rumours are largely based on Mino Raiola’s wish to see Pogba return to Manchester United.

- According to The Sun, Arsenal are eying a move for Barcelona’s Arda Turan as a possible replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who is being targetted by Juventus.

Morata to Chelsea?

- According to Marca, Barcelona are keeping a close eye on Atletico Madrid’s Yannick Carrasco who is considering his future at the club. Carrasco is yet to be guaranteed a starting role by Diego Simeone and that is where Barca feel they can snatch the Belgian International this summer.

- Villarreal have completed the signing of Senegalese defensive midfielder Alfred N'Diaye from La Liga side Real Betis. Diaye had had joined Betis from English outfit Sunderland AFC in August, 2014 on a five-year deal.

- Real Madrid have rejected Chelsea’s opening €60million offer for Alvaro Morata. According to Marca, Los Blancos have valued Morata at €75m and will not accept any offer less than that this summer.

Rest of Europe

Matuidi wants to lead his country to Euro glory first

- Benfica’s £21m-rated attacker Talisca is currently a target for several teams in Europe with Liverpool, Dortmund and Shakhtar Donetsk linked with the exciting Brazilian forward.

- Blaise Matuidi has shunned all the transfer talks for now and is focused on Euro 2016 final with France. Matuidi is linked with Manchester United but wants to first lead his country to Euro glory then think about his future.

- Lassana Diarra is a surprise target for Chelsea this summer. Former Portsmouth man is valued at £33million and according to Daily Star and could be an option for Antonio Conte if they fail to sign all of their priority targets.
