Welcome to our daily transfer rumours round-up. Tonight’s big story comes from Serie A where Juventus are subject to making a huge €100m bid for Gonzalo Higuain.
Elsewhere, Barcelona are closing in on a €22m deal for signing an Atletico Madrid attacker while Arsenal are linked with a surprise 50m bid for the reigning PFA Player of the Year.
On that note, here are the transfer news and rumours doing the rounds on July 23rd.
Serie A
- Juventus are close to agreeing a stunning €100m deal for signing Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain. According to reports from Football Italia, the Serie A Champions are certain of losing Paul Pogba this summer and have decided to use the cash that will be generated to sign the Argentine striker. Elsewhere, Napoli have lined up Carlos Bacca as a possible replacement for Higuain.
- Napoli are close to extending Kalidou Koulibaly’s contract despite interest from Chelsea and Everton. According to Sky Sports Italia, the defender is keen to negotiate a new contract and is ready to snub a move to Premier League this summer.
- Inter Milan are ready to match Lazio’s €25m asking price for Antonio Candreva. The winger is keen on a move this summer with Chelsea and Napoli also interested in his services.
English Premier League
- Riyad Mahrez has agreed to join Arsenal in a stunning €50m move. Eurosports are convinced that the player will sign for the Gunners next week after Leicester City accepted the £42m bid earlier today.
- Chelsea are keen to sign Roma defender Kostas Manolas this summer and are willing to pay the €44m asking fee. Manchester United are also linked with the player but Antonio Conte wants to complete a deal in coming few days to re-enforce his defense.
- Leicester City have reportedly launched a £6.25m offer for Poland international Bartosz Kapustka. Everton and Southampton are also linked with the player but Leicester have made the first concrete offer for the 19-year-old Cravocia star.
Bundesliga
- Mario Gomez has agreed to join Borussia Dortmund in the coming weeks, according to reports from Football Italia. Dortmund have pipped West Ham and Wolfsburg to agree personal terms with the striker, however, the transfer fee is yet to be negotiated with Florentina.
- Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel has denied any reports of agreeing to sell Matthias Ginter this summer. In an interview, Tuchel said: “With Ginter, I think everything is said, Matthias is our player and stays our player." Arsenal were reportedly interested in signing the talented defender.
La Liga
- Manchester United are fearing Real Madrid may steal a march on their bid to sign Paul Pogba this summer after it was reported earlier today that Madrid are making one last attempt to bring Pogba to the Santiago Bernabeu. Mino Raiola’s agent fee is yet to be agreed by the Red Devils and that is where Real are hopeful of clinching Pogba’s transfer.
- Federico Fazio’s proposed move to Espanyol is in danger after Tottenham Hotspur turned down the recent bid from the La Liga side. Espanyol are keen to sign the defender for €4m, but Spurs are not willing to negotiate for anything less than €6m.
- Barcelona have agreed to sign Atletico Madrid striker Luciano Vietto for a reported €22m transfer fee. Vietto joined Atletico last summer but could never settle at the Vicente Calderon and is tipped to make a move this summer.
Rest of Europe
- Celtic are closing on a deal to sign Kolo Toure from Liverpool. Brendan Rodgers is keen to add some experience to his defense and is eying a move for his former player.
- French newspaper L'Equipe are convinced that Middlesbrough are interested in bringing Lille's 23-year-old French defensive midfielder Ibrahim Amadou to Premier League this summer. The player is valued in the region of €22m.
- Norwich City and Burton Albion are tracking Ghanaian winger David Accam, according to reports from Ghana Soccernet. The pacey winger is valued at £5m and is expected to quit MLS this summer.
