Burnley have completed the signing of Aston Villa's Ashley Westwood for a fee in the region of £5m. He has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the option of a further year and will wear the number 18 shirt.

Following the transfer, Westwood said: "I'm delighted. It's happened fast but I've been made to feel very welcome and I can't wait to get going. It feels like a proper football club and homely, and that's what I like. I like to be appreciated and I think I will definitely get that here."
