Odion Ighalo completes Chinese Super League move
Watford striker Odion Ighalo has completed his medical ahead of a €20million transfer to Chinese Super League side Changchun Yatai. Ighalo had become frustrated at the lack of goals in this season and will pocket a salary of close to €200k-per-week. Watford are yet to find a replacement and are unlikely to sign a new striker with just a few hours left in January transfer window.
Pato on his way to China as well
Alexandre Pato has become the latest European-based player to move to the Chinese Super League as he joins Tianjin Quanjian from Villarreal. The deal is reportedly in the region of €18m, ensuring a €15m profit on the striker for Villarreal whom they signed from Brazilian side Corinthians only six months ago.
