Bayern Munich bullish about keeping hold of Robert Lewandowski
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has rubbished claims that Robert Lewandowski is looking to join Real Madrid in the summer. The chairman has made it clear that the club wants the Polish international at the Allianz Arena and will not let him go at any cost.
He told Kicker, "I like to assume that Robert is one hundred percent going to play at Bayern Munich next season. What should motivate us to take a different direction?" Lewandowski has been at the club since 2014 and has scored 142 goals in 184 games.
Liverpool have no interest in signing Timo Werner
Bild recently claimed that Liverpool were preparing a €100 million for RB Leipzig's Timo Werner. But James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo, the most trusted source concerning the Reds, has revealed that the Premier League side has no intentions of signing a striker this summer.
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly happy with his striking department and has made plans to fast-track 17-year-old striker Rhian Brewster into the first-team squad next season.
