Chelsea submit second bid worth £31.2m for Leandro Parades
Zenit Saint Petersburg's 24-year-old Leandro Parades has been making waves due to his performances for the Russian club.
Resultingly, he is believed to have been on Premier League giants, Chelsea's, radar for a while now, as the Blues had reportedly submitted a first offer believed to be worth £26.8 million, which was subsequently shot down by the club, who reportedly value the midfielder at £36 million.
Now, according to reports from The Sun, Chelsea are still very intent on signing him as a potential replacement for Cesc Fabregas. The report claims that Chelsea have now submitted an improved second bid of £31.2 million, and are confident of signing their man.
Further, the report suggests that Chelsea have already prepared a four-and-a-half-year contract which will reportedly see Paredes earn £80,000 per week. An agreement between the two clubs on a fee is believed to be the only remaining formality before Chelsea officially sign the 24-year-old.
