Real Madrid to offer two players+cash for Eden Hazard with talks set to take place
There is little doubt that Real Madrid are in dire need of a new talisman after none of their superstars have successfully stepped into Cristiano Ronaldo's recently-vacated shoes. Los Blancos' interest in Chelsea's Eden Hazard has also been widely reported.
While it was earlier reported that Madrid would throw in the kitchen sink for Hazard in January, they have now reportedly accepted that no move will come to fruition in the winter, but are preparing a summer deal that Chelsea can't refuse.
According to reports from The Sun, Real Madrid are seriously considering a money+player deal to lure Hazard away from the Blues. The report claims that Madrid will consider converting Mateo Kovacic's ongoing loan deal into a permanent one as a part of the Hazard exchange.
Meanwhile, reports from Fox Sports claim that should Kovacic not be sufficient to coax Chelsea, Madrid could also offer up Marco Asensio to sweeten the deal.
Notably, Hazard has expressed his strong desire to play for Madrid one day, while also refusing to sign a new contract at Chelsea thus far, which could convince Chelsea to make the most of a potential deal that will see Hazard go to Madrid.
