David de Gea closing in on a new deal
According to the Times, Real Madrid have already suffered a huge transfer blow in their pursuit of David de Gea. It is believed that the Spanish goalkeeper has decided to commit to the Red Devils and negotiations are underway between the two parties.
With his current deal terminating in 2019, United have offered De Gea a new deal which will see him extending his stay in England until 2021. The 27-year-old is also set to earn in excess of £220,000 per week.
Spurs ready to offload Toby Alderweireld
In another sensational report by the Times, it has been reported that Tottenham Hotspur are ready to cash in on Toby Alderweireld this summer. The Belgian centre-back has a £25 million release clause in 2019 which is why the Lilywhites want to offload him at the end of this season.
Talks over a new deal have broken down after Spurs rejected Alderweireld's insistence on earning £150,000 per week. The club has a strict wage policy which they do not want to break for a player who turns 29 soon.
