Liverpool to swoop for Ousmane Dembele
Dembele was expected to put the Camp Nou in raptures. However, an early injury following his sensational £100 million move proved to be a real bugbear among the fans and the Frenchman is yet to live up to his price tag.
As per Express, Liverpool might be tempted to sign the Frenchman if they can sell Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi. The report adds that reliable Spanish source Mundo Deportivo had earlier reported that Liverpool are keeping an eye on the Frenchman.
Ernesto Valverde's recent comments on Ousmane Dembele has further fueled speculations. Valverde, speaking to the press prior to their weekend match against Real Betis, had said,
"I do not lose patience with him. Each one can interpret it as he wants.
“This is a team. Sometimes some are summoned and sometimes others. I’m looking for the best. Ousmane came from being a starter and now he's out."
On being asked about the youngster's future, Valverde did not afford anyone a clear picture. He said,
"I have nothing to say. Internal matters are internal. We want to help the players to be better.”
