Roma in talks with Manchester United over a loan deal for Alexis Sanchez
Manchester United's attack could be depleted further as AS Roma have entered negotiations with the Red Devils to secure a loan deal for Chilean international Alexis Sanchez. Sanchez has largely flopped at Old Trafford since joining in the winter transfer window of the 2017/18 season.
Manchester United are already being forced to rely on the likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and a young Mason Greenwood for goals following the departure of Romelu Lukaku. Despite that, Sanchez is not promised a spot in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team.
Though Solskjaer earlier said that he expects Sanchez to stay at the club, the latest reports indicate that Manchester United have given AS Roma the opportunity to sign him on loan. As it stands, it is not sure whether Sanchez is keen on making the move.
If at all a move happens, Manchester United will be expected to keep paying a major chunk of Sanchez's £391,000-a-week wages which rises to £500,000 with bonuses as Roma do not have that much in the tank.
