Oblak put ink to paper on a new contract that ties him to the Rojiblancos until 2023. The contract will now run out on June 30, 2021. Jan Oblak joined Atletico Madrid's ranks in 2014 from Portuguese side Benfica.
He has since appeared 203 times for Diego Simeone's side and has kept a whopping 115 clean sheets as Atletico strived to break the Barca-Real duopoly in the LaLiga.
On renewing his contract, Oblak told Atletico's website,
“I'm very happy to have signed a contract extension and to be here. I'm going to defend these colours to the best of my abilities and continue working hard.”
