Chelsea to sign Higuain in time for Tottenham clash
Chelsea are in the final stages of sealing the deal for Gonzalo Higuain according to The Sun. The English newspaper reports that the Blues are looking to sign the striker in time for their Carabao Cup semi-final 2nd leg vs Tottenham on Thursday.
AC Milan and Juventus have agreed a deal to terminate the loan deal while Chelsea have also struck a deal with the Old Lady to take the player to Stamford Bridge for the rest of the season. Reports suggest that they will have an option to buy him in the summer or extend his loan by another 12 months if needed.
Krzysztof Piątek, meanwhile, is set to be Milan's replacement for Higuain. The Genoa striker is set for a £13 million loan move before completing a £22 million move to San Siro in the summer.
