Manchester City make £90 million bid for Kalidou Koulibaly
Kalidou Koulibaly is right up there on the transfer list of Manchester United as they look to strengthen their defence. However, Napoli have been playing hard ball and the Red Devils have been struggling to make leeway in the negotiations. Now, they will face stiff competition from bitter rivals Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola wants the Senegalese international at the Etihad next season and Manchester City have launched an £85 million bid for the centre-back. The Spaniard wants to find an able replacement for Vincent Kompany and Koulibaly is one of the highest rated defenders in the world right now.
However, the 27-year-old has 4 years left in his contract with Napoli and as such the Serie A side are under no compulsion to sell. Earlier reports had claimed that Napoli have slapped a £133 million price tag on Koulibaly. If that is the case, Manchester City will have to significantly up their offer.
Also, Manchester United have now got one more thing to worry about in an already hectic summer transfer window.
