Riyad Mahrez threatens to quit Manchester City; Pep quells claims
Riyad Mahrez is frustrated with the lack of opportunities at Manchester City and is reportedly looking to leave the club in the summer. Mahrez has been left disgruntled having been handed zero minutes in the last three games at such a critical juncture in the Cityzens' campaign.
Although he has impressed only sporadically, Mahrez believes that his ability is sufficient to warrant more than 13 Premier League starts in a year. He has also been making his displeasure at the lack of playing time for a while now.
However, Pep Guardiola has now come out an claimed that the Algerian is not going anywhere. Speaking to the press ahead of the Manchester derby on Wednesday, Pep said,
"Riyad Mahrez will be with us next season and the next one, and the next one. I don't need to speak with him. He knows we are happy with him."
