Ndombele is likened to Michael Essien. He enjoyed a fruitful spell at Lyon and impressed greatly in the 2019-20 season. Now, he will sign a 5-year contract at Tottenham. The medical will take place in the next few days.
Ndombele is one of the best young box-to-box midfielders in the game right now. His athleticism, attacking mindset, intelligence and strength are what set him apart.
His former coach at Amiens, Christophe Pellissier said the following of his qualities,
"He is very good with the ball, dazzles with his shot, breaks lines with the ball at his foot, his technical quality allows him to play more advanced, while his intelligence allows him to adopt a more defensive role."
