Arjen Robben confirms Bayern Munich exit
Earlier this year, in May, Arjen Robben signed a one-year contract extension at Bayern Munich to complete 10 full seasons with the Bundesliga giants. Over the course of the last nine seasons at the club, the Dutch superstar has won 18 major trophies, including 7 Bundesliga titles and 1 UEFA Champions League trophy.
And now, Robben has decided to call time on his Bayern career, as he confirmed that the ongoing season will be his last, while also confirming that he will not be retiring.
Speaking to reports, Robben said:
"I can say that this is my last year [at Bayern] and it is good like that. I have taken the decision, personally, that this will be my last year."
"I think it is the right moment after 10 years. The club moves on and I may move on. It is the end of a very good and long period."
"I may move on. I won't stop completely yet," the 34-year-old said.
