Manchester City hold meeting over potential Joao Felix move
Benfica's 19-year-old superstar, Joao Felix has constantly been in the news this season due to his exemplary performances for the Portuguese side. Felix, who is believed to be valued at £100 million, has been linked with potential moves to Real Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool over the course of the recently-concluded season.
However, according to the latest reports from The Mirror, Manchester City could emerge as the frontrunners for the teenager. The Premier League champions reportedly held a meeting to discuss a potential move.
As per the report, City's chief executive, Ferran Soriano, reportedly met Benfica's president, Luis Filipe Viera, and the player's agent, Jorge Mendes this past week to try and hash out a deal.
The report also claims that Madrid tried signing him for £70 million, but failed after not meeting Benfica's valuation of the player.
