Chelsea lead Manchester United in race for Eder Militao
Porto's 20-year-old defender, Eder Militao, has quickly risen to prominence owing to his performances for the Portuguese club, and has become a fixed member of the team's starting eleven this season.
The prodigal star has played every single minute for Porto this season and even scored his first ever UEFA Champions League goal against Schalke.
It had earlier been reported that Manchester United were eyeing a move for the 20-year-old in their hunt for a quality defender. Militao's versatility, allowing to play as a centre-back, fullback or a defensive midfielder reportedly made him the perfect option.
However, according to the latest reports from The Sun, Chelsea have now entered the frame and are even believed to be leading the Red Devils.
The report claims that Chelsea's manager, Maurizio Sarri, is allegedly monitoring the 20-year-old, who shares agents with other Chelsea players like Willian and David Luiz, prompting many to hail Chelsea as favourites to complete a move for Militao.
