Neymar does not rule out Real Madrid move
In an interview with ESPN, Neymar did not much let his guard down when quizzed about the possibility of a future move to Real Madrid. While the Brazilian insisted that he was very happy at Paris Saint-Germain, he did not rule out a move to the Bernabeu. He said,
"Real is one of the biggest clubs in the world. Any player that Real are keen on would feel the lure of playing there. Today, I am very happy in Paris -- I am doing very well here. However, nobody knows the future.
"Today, I am very happy here. If I speak only about right now, I only have eyes for Paris. I am not attracted to anybody else -- I do not want to leave Paris. Of course, though, Real Madrid is a great team -- one of the greatest in the world, and I respect them a lot. However, I see myself in Paris today."
Bernardo Silva set for stunning contract renewal
The diminutive Manchester City midfielder who has earned several words of praise from Pep Guardiola will soon be rewarded with a new contract, according to Sky Sports News. Bernardo Silva has now become pretty much indispensable to the team after struggling to find his feet initially since joining from Monaco in the summer of 2017 for £43 million.
The report claims that Manchester City are all set to finish negotiations over a new contract which will see the Portuguese midfielder earn £200,000-a-week and tie him to the club till 2025.
Gareth Bale's agent calls Real Madrid fans a disgrace
Gareth Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett has come down heavily upon the Bernabeu faithful owing to their recent treatment of the Welshman. Barnett called them disgraceful in a recent interview with Sky Sports News.
He said,
"This generation of Real fans will be talking about Gareth's goals for years to come. Frankly, they should be ashamed of themselves.
"Gareth deserves the greatest of respect. The way Real fans have treated him is nothing short of a disgrace."
Ivan Rakitic will continue at Barcelona only on one condition
Ivan Rakitic may have publicly professed his love for Barcelona. However, following the El Clasico, where his lone goal won the Cules the game, Barcelona are reconsidering their position on a potential contract renewal for Rakitic.
And now, as per reports in Spain, Rakitic wants to use the current momentum to get himself a better contract at the Camp Nou. He wants a raise in his wages and a deal that runs till 2022 in the very least and also a discounted release clause that would stand in the ballpark of €80 million.
With PSG and Inter Milan showing interest, if Barcelona do not act on the issue, this might be the last season we see Rakitic donning the Red and Blue.
Toni Kroos interested in joining Manchester City
The wrath of the Santiago Bernabeu faithful spares no one. A very recent entrant to the list of players who have fallen out of love with the Real Madrid fans, Toni Kroos has his eyes set on a move to the Premier League with Manchester City, according to reports in Spain.
The report claims that Kroos has told his friends that he will pack his bags at the end of the season. Pep Guardiola, the Manchester City manager, has been an admirer of the German for a long time.
Toni Kroos is also looking for fresher challenges having won all that he can in Spain. At the age of 29, this might indeed be his last chance to ply his trade for a top team in a different league.
