Manchester United, who desperately need a solid centre-back signing in January are now pursuing their secondary target Kostas Manolas and have agreed to the wages demanded by the AS Roma defender's agent Mino Raiola, according to journalist Nicolo Schira (via Daily Star).

Toby Alderweireld and Kalidou Koulibaly are the two prominent names that have been linked with the Red Devils. However, Schira has now tweeted that Manchester United are going in for Manolas with super agent Mino Raiola facilitating the deal.

The money part of the deal is not going to deter Manchester United and if Manolas can emulate Van Dijk's exploits at Liverpool since joining the Reds last January, then this will be one heck of a bargain.
