Mino Raiola confirms De Ligt has agreed terms with Juventus

Matthijs De Ligt's super-agent Mino Raiola has now confirmed that the player has an agreement in place with Juventus and that the rest is all up to Ajax. Juventus want De Ligt but they are not currently in a situation to match Ajax's valuation of the player.

Ajax want close to €70 million for their star defender. However, Juventus have only, so far, offered €50 million without add-ons and thus the deal has hit a stumbling block of sorts. Raiola also revealed that Ajax had given permission to De Ligt last year to seek a move if he stayed for the season. Speaking to De Telegraaf, Raiola said,

“Agreements have been made with Matthijs and it is up to Ajax how the club wants to deal with this.”

Raiola also mentioned that they are keen on avoiding an arbitration process to resolve the situation.

“An arbitration case is out of the question for us. I also advised Matthijs, because it does not suit his style and his lifestyle.
“The player only hopes that Juventus and Ajax will show the will to work and that the deal is completed quickly.”
