Plea signs for Gladbach

Alassane Plea, who was linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, has completed his move to Borussia Monchengladbach for £22million. After acquiring his signature, Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl expressed his joy at being able to sign him and also confirmed that the player wanted to move to Germany's top-flight.

"We're delighted that this transfer has gone through and that our efforts to beat off a number of prestigious other clubs have been rewarded," he said.

"Alassane desperately wanted to come to Borussia. He's a versatile, fast and intelligent forward who has already underlined his qualities in Ligue 1 and in the Europa League."

Laxalt on Bundesliga radar

After completing an excellent campaign with Uruguay at the World Cup, Diego Laxalt seems to be on the radar of many clubs. According to Calcio Mercato, Laxalt has interest from almost every league with Bundesliga having three clubs that are eying him: VfL Wolfsburg, Schalke and Stuttgart.
