Liverpool star Luis Suarez is said to be at the top of the list in the January shopping list for the Blues manager Jose Mourinho according to the French newspaper Le 10 Sport. The striker is valued at around £55m and will definitely add teeth to the Blues’ faltering forward line.
The Stamford Bridge boss has made clear of his intentions to buy a quality striker to produce goals from the forward line which has been lacking for them this season. Big names have been making the rounds and the Uruguayan striker seems to be his first priority.
The 26 year old has been in hot form since his return from suspension and has scored six goals in five appearances for the Reds this season. Brendan Rodgers however has held firm and rejected bids from Arsenal during the summer window and is still reluctant to let go of the star man stating he is not for sale.
After Mourinho’s failed attempt to lure Rooney from Manchester United in the summer window, it seems he is set to give up and look elsewhere. With Torres drawing blank against Newcastle in the league it does seem to be an issue for the Special One.
If Chelsea have to challenge for the title in the Premier League and the Champions League the do need a quality striker and Suarez definitely fits the bill. Burak Yilmaz, Robert Lewandowski and Mario Balotelli are among the others who Jose is reportedly having an eye on.
