Manchester United are all set to land latest Brazil sensation Everton Ribeiro. The midfielder has confirmed that he would prefer a move to Old Trafford, amidst speculation of him being linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid.
In an interview with Globoesporte, he confirmed the same.
He said, “Yes I would like it [to join Manchester United over Real Madrid] more.”
He also went on to say that discussions over a transfer to Manchester have already begun.
“The structure they have there is one of the best in the world. There were more than five pitches on the training ground, I was impressed. I have already visited for a lecture with Sir Alex Ferguson.” he added.
The €10 million rated creative midfielder has been outstanding in the Brazil domestic league, and has seen his stock rise at a dizzying rate. The 24-year old was recently crowned the Player of the Year for 2013 for his contribution to his club - Cruzeiro’s title.
This could see the likes of Kagawa and Ashley Young depart Old Trafford this transfer window who seem surplus to requirements. Manchester United might have struck gold with the imminent arrival of Everton Ribeiro.
