Fred can prove to be the final piece of the jigsaw for United's Midfield. Unlike Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, he is not tall but has an impressive turn of pace, excellent short passing and solid ball control.
He is technically gifted and could form a great partnership with Matic and Pogba in the centre. He can give Pogba the assurance to go further to attack and could also compensate for Matic's lack of speed.
