The international TV rights for the Bayern Munich’s friendly against Barcelona will be distributed by the sports rights marketing agency Kentaro on 24th July. The Bundesliga giants will face Barcelona at the Allianz Arena and the fixture is a part of their pre-season friendly games.
Bayern president Uli Hoeness was promised the match on his 60th birthday and it has been given the name ‘Uli Hoeness Cup,’ according to a press release.
The pre-season friendly will also mark Pep Guardiola’s first match at the Allianz Arena in charge of Bayern Munich.
The money generated from the event will be donated to charity.
Uli Hoeness said: “I’m really looking forward to this match. I’d like to thank the board of directors for this 60th birthday gift. I’m especially pleased I’ll be able to support social and community projects with the proceeds.”
“We are delighted to be once again working with Bayern Munich for such a big and prestigious match,” added Stefan Fueg, managing director of Kentaro Germany. “Bayern and Barcelona have been the most successful European clubs over the last decade. Thanks to our global network, we can guarantee that this match will receive the biggest possible international attention.”
