Arsenal and Bayern Munich lived up to expectation as they served up a treat in the first leg of their last 16 Champions League clash, in a game that was not short of talking points.

Mesut Ozil missed a penalty, as did Bayern’s David Alaba, with Wojciech Szczesny having seen red in the build up to Alaba’s miss.

Toni Kroos was the star of the show as he put in an imperious performance which was capped with a goal, with Thomas Muller adding a second late on.
