Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho seems to be making a habit of getting sent off to the stands (does he have a thing for this?). While his team were battling hard to secure a win against Slaven Bilic’s West Ham United, Mourinho was sent off by the referee Jon Moss for kicking a water bottle and screaming after Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba received a yellow card for simulation (read: DIVE).
Mourinho was earlier sent off against Burnley in the goalless draw on 29th October 2016, when he received his marching orders by referee Mark Clattenburg for arguing with him over a foul on Matteo Darmian. The Special One has been sent off to the stands on many occasions during his long, illustrious and controversial career.
During his calamitous last season with Chelsea, he was sent off by the same referee (Jon Moss) against the same opposition (West Ham). Incidentally, Mourinho has more red cards this season than his team United have (1).
Manchester United went behind in the second minute when Diafra Sakho headed home Dimitri Payet’s free-kick. It was Zlatan Ibrahimovic who equalised for the Red Devils in the 21st minute, heading home Paul Pogba’s excellently weighted ball.
Twitter, as you would expect, didn’t spare the Special One and we share with you the best tweets:
