Another Ronaldo hat-trick; an unusually dominating performance from Real Madrid against Simeone's Atletico; a much-deserved victory at the end of it. Zidane really out-thought his opposite number here, and this is arguably Madrid's most impressive performance this season - no coincidence that it also came the night when Ronaldo decided to show us all that he still has some fight left in him
Twitter, as you would imagine, loved it; and the majority focused on loving Ronaldo while hating on Barcelona at the same time!
39 hattricks – bloody hell!!
Hahaha
Even Joey Barton got into the act -
Fabio Capello’s got a point, here –
Real Madrid were comfortable for the majority of the match; with Isco and Bale putting on great performances along with CR7
Atletico's best performer was undoubtedly Jan Oblak and his save to deny Ronaldo early on was a thing of utter beauty!
That was all that went well for Atleti, though. Zidane was simply superb – and he thoroughly out tactic-ed Simeone today
The sarcasm is strong in this one (just that last line, please)!
Griezmann meanwhile was utterly invisible in the first 45, and sporadic in the second
