Twitter explodes as Cristiano Ronaldo rescues Real Madrid against Getafe

Real Madrid beat Getafe 2-1 away, and Twitter loved the way it unfolded

Getafe were superb as a unit, Jorge Molina a lion, Real Madrid on the backfoot for the vast majority of the second half, Karim Benzema was magnificent, Marcelo tirelessly impressive, Isco magical as ever and Real Madrid came away with a crucial three points in the context of the league race.

But, as ever, one man stole the limelight

He missed from one yard and it looked like that horrendous miss would cost Real Madrid two valuable points, but no one atones for his own mistakes quite like Cristiano Ronaldo.
