Twitter goes crazy as Messi is left out of Argentina's squad to face Italy

Argentina and Italy go head to head today in a gigantic clash and fans all over the world were waiting to see the little magician in action. It will be his first appearance for the national side since he miraculously led them to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

But, the starting eleven has caught everyone by surprise as Leo Messi has not been included in the squad by coach Jorge Sampaoli. All this meant that twitter would spend more time bashing the Argentine coach for his team selections than actually watching the game.

Here's how twitter reacted:

It looks like Messi will not start (maybe he will not even get involved) against Italy today. I believe is part of a plan to give him the right amount of minutes/rest.

I have absolutely no problem with Messi not starting. On the contrary, I am happy because I'd love to see what the team can do without him. However, Dybala would have been perfect for this match and Sampaoli now in the hot seat. Hopefully he realizes the mistake he's made.
