Everton inflicted a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Manchester United at the Goodison Park in the Premier League tonight. Richarlison started the rout with an early goal followed by Sigurdsson's sensational goal which saw the Red Devils 2-0 down inside 30 minutes. Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott added to the misery with two more strikes in the second half.

It goes without saying that Ole Gunner Solskjaer and his men were outclassed in a well deserved victory for Everton. The Toffees dominated proceedings from start to finish and David De Gea was left helpless in numerous occasions throughout the game. Moreover, the Red Devils looked abysmal in defence and terrible during their attacks - which is why they only had one shot on target throughout the game.

One of the worst defeats in post Ferguson-era will leave United an uphill battle for top four spot in the Premier League here on. The Red Devils stay 6th in the Premier League, 3 points below Arsenal who are on the fourth spot with just a few games to go.

United have now lost six out of their last eight games which saw them getting knocked out from the Champions League with a 4-0 aggregate defeat against Barcelona.

United have also conceded 48 goals in Premier League this season which is the worst among the top 7 in the league so far. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer almost looked away in disbelief after the end of the game and apologized to the fans for the club's horrible display on the pitch.

On the other hand, Everton squad were obviously happy with their big win.

With this loss, United are 6th in the Premier League and lost the chance to go into the top four with a win.
