Twitter praised and trolled Barcelona after 5-1 win over Rayo Vallecano

Barcelona extended their lead at the top of La Liga to eight points with a 5-1 thrashing of Rayo Vallecano. Goals from Ivan Rakitic and Arda Turan either side of a hat-trick from Lionel Messi saw the Catalan club extend their unbeaten run to 35 games in all competitions.

In doing so, Messi and the team broke a number of records, the most notable being Real Madrid’s streak of 34 games unbeaten. But it was also a game where Barcelona’s woes from the penalty spot came to the fore yet again as Luis Suarez failed to convert a penalty.
