Twitter reacts to Barcelona's 2-0 win over Arsenal in Champions League first leg

Two late goals from Lionel Messi ensured that Barcelona defeated Arsenal away from home in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 encounter. The Gunners put on a valiant display, holding fort till the 71st minute, when a counter-attack saw Messi open the scoring. The Catalans then doubled their advantage on 84 minutes as the little Argentine converted his penalty after being fouled by Mathieu Flamini.

The win meant that Barcelona continued their dominance over Arsenal and are in the driver's seat for a spot in the quarter-finals. The defending champions will be looking to become the first team in the Champions League era to successfully defend their title too.
