England beat Malta 2-0 in their Group F 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier at Wembley on Saturday. Goals from Daniel Sturridge and Dele Alli ensured the Three Lions took all three points against a disappointing Malta side to give caretaker manager Gareth Southgate a win in his first game in charge.
However, most of the 81,700 fans at Wembley were not impressed with the performance and felt England should have scored a few more goals. There were a few boos after the full-time whistle amidst scattered applause.
